At Mountain Peak Counselling, your child's wellness is our priority. Adolescence is a time of growth, change, and challenge, and we genuinely care about supporting young people through this period. Our youth counselling (ages 14+) offers a safe, compassionate space to explore emotions, navigate life’s complexities, and build resilience from an integrated psychotherapeutic perspective.
Youth counselling is more than just talking. It’s a supportive, collaborative process that helps young people better understand themselves, regulate emotions, and build healthier coping skills. Teens are offered a safe, non-judgmental space where they can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at their own pace.
Counselling may be helpful for teens who are:
Feeling overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, perfectionism, or low mood
Navigating ADHD & struggles with executive functioning & emotional regulation
Adjusting to changes such as family transitions, trauma, or loss
Struggling with self-esteem, confidence, or identity
Experiencing challenges at school, in friendships, or in social settings
Our approach is holistic and developmentally informed, honouring each teen’s unique nervous system, strengths, and lived experience. Together, we focus on both challenges and capacities, supporting emotional regulation, resilience, and overall well-being.
